Wonderful piece! Not just reading it from there perspective of a fan talking about a band they love, but also for the insists into PSB! Plus the excellent playlist. Thank you!
Great post! My family lived in Scotland in 88-89 when I was in grade 4, so I was just at the age when I was starting to be aware of pop music. Reading this jogged my memory to the biggest group that all kids were hyped on, and I hadn’t even thought about until today…BROS!
Dude, through all my years of digging through obscure '80s new wave and pop groups from the UK, I had never heard ANYTHING about Bros until reading this book! They'll be like "If we wear this shirt, we'll look like Bros" and I'm like, "WTF is Bros?"
The UK is crazy for that: how they will ride so hard for a pop group that does nothing anywhere else…makes me think of how huge Take That! was in the UK but not so much in the rest of the world until Robbie Williams went solo for dolo

Thanks for reading and listening, Kristin! Definitely check out the book if you get the chance
I'm definitely going to! I may already have it bookmarked...
And the playlist is going into the regular rotation. 🎶
Holy typos Batman! I'm blaming my cold apartment! 🙂
Unexpected piece—I love it!
