My post about vintage band shirts from earlier this week led to a firestorm of debate and opinions from the fine readers of this newsletter. It had folks combing through their closets and attics to don their forgotten favourites and savour the precious memories that come along with them. I underestimated the amount of passion that people had for this topic! In case you missed it:
What I didn’t mention in that post was that most of these thoughts came to me after I started selling some old garms on a particular website this month. Grailed is “the largest men’s fashion marketplace” online and this site has helped me to flip some stuff that I bought way back when I mistakenly thought I was a size medium. Their specialty is “luxury streetwear” but it’s also a massive repository for obscure vintage band shirts.
I thought it might be cool to share some of the absolutely insane shirts I’ve come across in my journeys using the platform with y’all.
