I’m back in Montréal this week for two separate events that hold significance for me in different ways. On Wednesday July 31st, I’ll be fulfilling the promise of all those early pandemic Twitch streams I did by playing a vinyl only DJ set of pure, unadulterated Charcuterie Music at Sans Soleil, the incredible listening bar attached to Fleurs Et Cadeaux.
In case you don’t know what I mean by Charcuterie Music, here’s a refresher and accompanying playlist:
Really looking forward to this set, as I’ve been hoarding various records over the year for an all vinyl set that had yet to materialize. Until now! I’m playing from 8 pm to 1 am. I’ll also have copies of my album with me for sale. Hope to see y’all there.
I’ve always wanted to play at Osheaga. When I first moved to Montréal back in 2009, I kicked a verse on stage with Woodhands after having only been in town for a few weeks. I’ve attended a couple more times over the years, usually to see local music pals. I remember seeing OutKast during their final tour in 2014 there.
But this will my first full set at the festival and I’m so stoked! If you’re planning to come to Osheaga, I’m playing Sunday August 4th at 6:30 pm at Les Sessions SiriusXM stage.
