When I was living in Montréal, I worked on a whole album worth of material that never got released. It was called Dépanneur and it was kind of like a mixtape. Just wanted to make some tracks that were a little less conceptual than what I would usually do that might be relatable to folks in the city in the underground nightlife scene.

I also planned to change my artist name to Rollie for this project. I was recording at my friend Tyler Fitzmaurice’s studio in the Mile End. These were the same sessions that “My Crew (Woooo)” came out of. I wanted to tap into the world immediately around me and that all started with a saying that some of my friends would say that felt omnipresent in our group.
