Breaking Kayfabe 20th Anniversary Tour
Celebrating my debut with shows in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa
Time flies, eh? Can’t believe that it’s already been 20 years (!) since I dropped my debut album Breaking Kayfabe. I was 19 years old! So much has happened since then: ups and downs, awards, nominations, moved all over Canada, released five other albums and played shows in over a dozen countries. But nothing seems to mean more to folks than that first record.
It’s been wild to hear all the stories over the years of how they first heard it when they were in high school or saw my videos on MuchMusic. How it made them feel proud to be from Edmonton and Alberta. That was really the mission. I grew up listening to rap from New York, London and Los Angeles and became intimately acquainted with street names and regional slang from those cities. Why couldn’t I do the same for Edmonton?
One thing I always enjoyed was how my shows around the world became Edmontonian meetups. I’ve always loved bringing people together so it’s really gratifying when my music has that effect. I’m also extremely grateful to be here making music two decades later. I’m still discovering new sides of myself artistically and it truly feels like my journey is only just starting.
But the time has come to celebrate the beginning! I'll be performing Breaking Kayfabe in its entirety for the first and last time this fall. Get your tickets below:
November 20 - Toronto - The Garrison
November 21 - Montreal - Bar Le Ritz
November 22 - Ottawa - National Arts Centre
We’ll have some exclusive merch for these shows as well that you won’t want to miss. See you there.

I still adore that album. Reviewed it for The Skinny (Scottish magazine) when it came out. Happy anniversary!
Congrats! What a privilege to have known you as my friend for that
long. Fond memory of our first coffee at Second Cup.
